| NEW BUSINESS: Treasurer's Report: Charles Engle reported a treasury balance of $775.72. He presented the last bank statement and showed it to Commander Fletcher for audit/verification. Most members have paid their dues. Brother Engle pointed out that many of the Camp's members have addresses that are some distance from Chattanooga which may explain the fact that there are 17 paid members and one junior member, but only five or six members show up for the meetings on average. Department of Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi: Charles Engle reported on last month's Department Annual Encampment that he attended. Upcoming Events: Prior to this meeting, Commander Fletcher had passed along email correspondence from Kennesaw Mountain Camp #3 requesting assistance with the upcoming 150th Anniversary of Andrews' Railroad Raid. Commemoration of the event is scheduled for the weekend of April 14 and 15. There will be a Living History recreation of the Confederate training facility known as Camp McDonald that will be located next to the Southern Museum currently housing the famous locomotive, the "General." There will be other commemorations taking place along the original railroad route from Kennesaw to Chattanooga. The Kennesaw Camp requested, and was granted, permission to come into Missionary Ridge Camp #3 territory for the commemoration, most likely at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, burial place for James Andrews and seven of the raiders. They also requested assistance with the commemoration in our area. Final plans were not known as of this meeting, but several members expressed an interest in participating with the Kennesaw Camp.
