Minutes of the May 25, 2009 Meeting
Cracker Barrel Restaurant, East Ridge TN.
Present: James Fletcher, Mark Kemp, Mark Steele, Brian White, Charles Engle, Bob Dobbs and Harvey Scarborough
Call to Order: At 6:20 PM ET, Camp Commander Mark Kemp called the meeting to order.
Invocation: Camp Chaplain James Fletcher gave the Invocation.

New Business:
1. Bill Fuller, from Bill Shackleford, may want to join our club. I, Mark Kemp, sent him an e-mail
about this meeting and joining our unit.
2. Ross Amos - I, Mark Kemp, sent him an e-mail about this meeting and joining our unit. He lives in Loudon Tn.
3. Jeff Hightower (gajohnnyreb@bellsouth.net) - I, Mark Kemp, sent him an e-mail about this meeting.
He lives in Locust Grove Ga. Wants to do a grave site service when he gets a grave marker for,
George Elsea,
buried in Sale Creek Cemetery near Soddy-Daisy. At first would not let him have a grave stone.
But now will.
4. Treasurer reported $567.00 in bank.
5. Camp Donaldson camp parade June 13, 2009 “this is too far to attend.”
6. Contact Catoosa Co. History society about new grave stone for James Walker.
7. Get address from Dale Mitchell to send $100.00 check for monument. “Mark Kemp will do this,
and send to Charles Engle to send check.
8. 2011 will start the 150th anniversary of war.

The Camp discussed the agenda for the next few months. Mentioned were:
1. Hold Dept. meeting in Jan. 2010 last Saturday. “Check for hotel for two nights with a meeting room”
2. Memorial Day (Monday, May 25, 2009) Activities: memorial services at the James Watkins
Family Cemetery in the Old Mill Trace subdivision in Ringgold Ga.., memorial services at the
Confederate Cemetery where the
Miller and Wentworth graves are located... and the Torchlight
Tour in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
“We got very wet at the Torchlight Tour.”
3. Next meeting: “August 15, 2009 - Saturday”
Benediction: Commander Kemp asked James Fletcher to give the Benediction.
Adjourn: Commander Kemp declared the meeting adjourned at 6:54 PM.
