| Minutes of the May 2010 meeting of The Missionary Ridge Camp #63, Sons of Union Veterans of the
Civil War.
Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War Department of Tennessee (including Alabama)
May 31, 2010 - Monday 4:00 PM ET at the Cracker Barrel in East Ridge Tennessee.
Present: James Fletcher, Mark Steele, Charlie Engle, and Mark Kemp. We car pooled from the restaurant to
the James Watkins Cemetery in the middle of the Old Mill Trace Subdivision in Ringgold, Georgia. We met associate
member Harvey Scarborough at the cemetery. We performed a memorial ceremony for Union Soldier James Watkins.
After the Watkins' ceremony, we headed back to the Cracker Barrel in East Ridge Tennessee. We all ate lunch,
and Camp Commander Mark Kemp opened the meeting at 6:18 PM, ET.
1. Charlie Engle gave the treasurer's report. MRC 63 has $647.00 in the bank. All camp dues are paid.

After the meeting, we proceeded to the Chattanooga Confederate Cemetery to pay respects to two Union soldiers;
Miller and Wentworth graves are located there. Then, we went to the Chattanooga National Cemetery to honor the
Union soldiers buried there with the Torch light ceremony as we do annually. Missionary Ridge Camp #63 held this
event with special guest James H. Ogden, III, Historian Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park.
